Your 2024 Presidential Election Thread

Interesting is that Nikki Hayley has suspended her campaign, if I’m reading the tea leaves right. Which means she’s not out of it, maybe waiting for an ‘October Surprise’ like Trump is convicted.
As for Sleepy Joe, his best bet is to win & get a decent VP, sorta a 2IC who can do stuff, like Dick Cheney who had more input than just waking up & making sure the President wasn’t dead.

I have not seen where she has suspended her campaign. Though I do think it's a matter of time. I think she is circling her wagons around the South Carolina primary and won't make any formal decisions until after.

I think she's mad. She's determined to be and thinks she is entitled to be POTUS. She's propped up by the globalists, media, and establishment elite and hanging in there to see if Trump can be stopped somehow and then she'll be low hanging fruit. The media wants war and place their bets on her. Maybe I'm wrong.

She polls....interestingly. She was strong with women in Iowa, but lost a lot of women to Trump in NH. I think the media thinks that Republicans want to go back to same-same and establishment. Call it MAGA, call it rebranding, call it what you want, but I think Republicans still want a change from the status quo of establishment politicians, of which she is one.

I heard an interesting take, that she will try to hang on and maintain some relevance to either force a contested convention, or be there in October for any 'October Surprise.'

Yeah, the primary of one's own state is a good barometer. It's a matter of time until she drops. Then here's the million dollar question: will she support Trump and ask her supporters to support Trump? He really needs the endorsement, especially from the women.
I think DeSantis did the right thing. If he goes back to Florida and continues to govern like a boss, at least amicably supports Trump, and doesn't show any bitterness, he can be POTUS someday.

I agree, especially if when his time comes Trump supports him.

There is no love lost, I think when he dropped he said he was only supporting Trump because of the good of the party and Republicans need to be unified. If Trump can do the same in 4 years I think he'll be hugely popular.

Which ties in to my earlier post about him not running this year, Casey's influence, etc. I think he's astute enough to know this wasn't his year, yet he ran? A practice run for 2028, maybe? Name recognition outside of Florida?

I don't know, his run this year didn't feel like it was real, it felt like a training exercise...and maybe that was the goal.

This doesn't bode well for Trump, even with Dem imposters included in the poll. I said it repeatedly in earlier posts...

America is the weakest it has been in my adult life, in every way that actually matters. Diplomatically, information, military, economic... and that's just internationally. We are also super weak domestically. The circling sharks smell blood in the water, and they will bite off increasingly large bites of American people and interests until they learn to fear us again.

"We need a bigger boat."

We're weak as can be. We're not even delivering our aid to Ukraine at the previous turtle pace anymore. But the sheep will vote for a democrat.

Well, this is definitely not the way to unite the GOP behind one candidate.

Truth Social

These types of things are what really annoy me about Trump. These are the types of things that cause people to say f*&k it, and stay at home on election day.

We know how close 2020 was in terms of votes, so why go out of your way to alienate a segment of voters who may have been on the fence? I want Biden out of the WH, and this doesn't help get us to that end state.

I agree but... he's not wrong.
