USSS use to be a damn fine organization, protection was not it's main focus. Getting assigned from investigations to protection was a huge deal....but, agents have been jumping ship from that organization for the past ten years....and the agency is a shell of what it used to be.

Too much time on the road, not enough off time with family....etc.

If you wanted to get your foot in the door in federal law enforcement to stop the 6c clock, USSS either agent or officer was a quick way to do it.

I could see them have him step down to allow a Kamala presidency then Michele come in for the nomination to re-energize the party. All before the DNC next month.

yep...and now that USSS is under the DHS umbrella, HSI agents get pulled as extra bodies....buddy I work with from HSI is at the RNC, then will get tagged with the election staffing...he is supper thrilled...not!

If I'm the Biden admin, I'd find every possible reason to avoid a debate with anyone including Big Bird, a random homeless person, and the average high school student. She'll land a few zingers, but he should otherwise murk her harder than DEVGRU on hostages. "What do you mean it was a frag?"

I've watched/listened to several of President Biden's public engagements since the debate. There is no way any objective person can legitimately think that he is cognizant enough for political office. And now he has COVID, something he told ALL OF US that we WOULDN'T GET if we got the COVID vaccine.

There's no way he can survive this politically. The writing is on the wall. Barring some calamity (like, I don't know, President Trump getting murdered), the Republicans are going to take the White House. The Democrats now need to worry about the House and Senate, which are going to be SUPER hard for them if President Biden remains in the picture. If they ditch him now, and remove him as a point of focus for this election, then they may be able to beat the "ORANGE MAN BADDDDD!!!!!" drum enough to affect the legislative elections.

But I think a lot of people, including some on this site, are starting to see through it...
