Retention and Recruitment Crisis

This video is great. It shows how sexual misconduct charges were used to remove CAF leadership that refused to implement vaccine mandates. It also highlights how many are involved in the mass torts against the government for abuse of power.

There is no such thing as toxic masculinity.
There is no such thing as toxic femininity for that matter.

People are toxic - gender is not. If the mush brained leftists REALLY believed their own bullshit, they would realize that "gender" cannot be toxic - gender is a spectrum - amiright you stupid leftist fucks?

Maybe the goal isn't actually eradicating toxic 'masculinity' maybe the REAL goal is something much more complicated and nefarious.
Well said.

Everything is about power. Power is zero-sum. Anyone who gets it, or (in our country) is given it, someone else has less.

When people have enough power, they will exercise it over others.

The people who are most repressed by the new regime, are the ones who are perceived as having had power in the old one.

It has always been this way.

I'll offer some revisionist history if you will before I go to bed.

Canada's decline started with two defense initiatives: Cancelling the Avro Arrow and divesting itself of a strong ASW capability. The Arrow was years ahead of contemporaries and even if it wasn't? It was a strong piece of North America's defense. Or could have been.

Most people don't know that the RCN kind of held it down during WWII. There was a period when the Brits were spread thin and depleted, and the US was coming up to speed, when the RCN and some Flower-class corvettes (not designed for the role) held the line during the Battle of the Atlantic. Canada doesn't need to roll with carriers and cruisers to contribute, it proved that a strong ASW component can change history.

But, here we are.

Let's be honest. Canada doesn't need the capability to defend itself, it needs the capability to help defend itself. That must be galling to Canadians and I understand, but that's the world we live in.

Provide Liaison officers for our (and NATO's) AWACS, provide a Defensive Counter Air (DCA) mission with limited strike capabilities, and provide the ability to render a robust ASW presence in both the Atlantic and Pacific. Reduce the size of your land forces and focus on light infantry, SOF, and SAR because you are arguably among the best in peacetime SAR.

There's no shame in having a niche role. It allows you to be among the best for that job. More importantly, if you scale down your broad efforts you can devote your limited resources on a changing mission set.

Just my devalued and inflated 2 cents, and worth every penny paid for...
Arrow got canceled because missiles overtook bombers as the main threat. ADC started it's slow death at the same time.

Make work projects are important...I give you the Bradley or the B-36...in fact on the defense side I don't think we have enough make work projects especially with the Navy so we develop so slowly and order so little that costs for production results in cutting the order to 10% of original plans..

the Marines have the recruiting game kicked

MARINE RECRUITER: Good morning and thanks for coming in. I wonder if you are worth our time - you seem like a nice person but you might not be good enough to be in the Marines. You see, we only let the very best men and women join the Marines. Here, watch this brief video of a Marine climbing a mountain so he can kill a dragon with a lightning-imbued sword...

PROSPECT: well, I just talked to an Army recruiter, and they said they would give me a bonus and pay for some college.

MARINE RECRUITER: pfft - everybody does that; even the Navy

PROSPECT: well then what exactly is it that you have to offer that they don't

MARINE RECRUITER: we let you become a Marine

the Army, not so much

ARMY RECRUITER: Hey - I'd like to talk to you about joining the Army. There is a lot we can do for you if you join the Amy. Here, watch this brief video that highlights our commitment to DEI...

PROSPECT: well, I just talked to an Air Force recruiter, and they said they would give me some bonus money depending on what job I picked

ARMY RECRUITER: Oh snap, well, we'll do that too. In fact, we'll also cover the cost of hormone therapy and genital mutilation if you decide you want to cut your penis off and wear women's clothing.

PROSPECT: wait; what !?!?

ARMY RECRUITER: what ?

PROSPECT: what ?

ARMY RECRUITER: uhm, we'll also pay off some of your student debt

PROSPECT: uhm, do you have a nice-looking dress uniform?

ARMY RECRUITER: well, it's ok I guess. it doesn't matter though, we change it every few years
because tradition and esprit de corps really aren't all that important to us.
...we are however working on gender-neutral field uniforms as well as body armor made to accommodate different breast sizes

...you know; if you are into that kind of thing

I have told the story before, my favorite Marine recruiting story. When I was in high school I went to the gym to see the presentation from other recruiters. The Marines were the last, following the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Y'all did their regular bit about college money, travel, types of jobs.

The Marine recruiter went to the stage and put a pair of combat boots on the stage and all he said was this, "If you think you are man or woman enough to fill those boots, come see me." And no wonder he had the most people at his booth.

Wow. This is HUGE. The Army's manning situation must be even worse that we think.

Worse than we know or the Army projects manning and recruitment to decline further. The former is really bad, the latter is, not to be too dramatic, on a fast train to Disasterville.

There's an office or two in the Pentagon shitting razor blades right now.

ETA: 6 days' notice to change your entire life is insane. Being 8% short on recruiters should force multiple people into early retirement. Waiving height/ weight, PT results, and if you can believe terminalcwo...citizenship? The "Wow" icon isn't good enough for the OP.

So - even Recruiters are leaving service.
Does the Army recruiting school have a DEI component to it?
Maybe there is a pattern developing.

I'd also gamble that a lot of this is to replace in-service recruiters; many if not most -of these folks are just "going to school" and they will come right back to their unit to try and talk their buddies into reenlisting.

Something to notice though...
The mad dash to fill its recruiter ranks has the Army dismissing minimum standards to send soldiers to the school, including getting rid of requirements that they have passing fitness scores and be in compliance with body weight standards...

Lets not say that our senior leaders dont care - Lt. Gen. Douglas Stitt, the Army's top personnel officer - did admit that the "mistake is mine" while also acknowledging that the soldiers being voluntold to report to recruiting school are getting fucked during the holiday season (I'm paraphrasing when I say, getting fucked)
Look on the bright side, these junior NCOs that don't meet height weight and cant pass a PT test will still get promoted to E6 - "no questions asked"

Be, all that you can be, please - we're fucking begging you...
...just make sure you don't have any questionable tattoos.
...or you know, whatever.
