If that’s supposed to be a hit on my age, it's a poor effort. John Wayne was my parent’s generation. Willem DeFoe, Mel Gibson etc was mine. And BTW, I was only 10 when your Tom Cruise was born.

It didn't need to be as long as it was. I think I had a little 10-15 minute nana nap around the 90 minute mark and didn't feel like I missed much.

Its a dying genre but as a fan of western movies old and new ( manifest destiny and western expansion fascinates me ), other than a few, I can't sit through most John Wayne movies. He may have been cool but really wasn't that good of an actor, IMO. Clint Eastwood is the GOAT.
