Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Saw "War Machine", the fictional biopic about Stan McChyrstal, last night on Netflix. It was merely okay. I couldn't tell if Brad Pitt was trying to give us a sympathetic character or a total clown. Hell, I don't think the movie knew what kind of story it wanted to tell.

Thanks for the review. I saw the ad on Netflix, but wasn't sure if it would be worth watching. Now I know that it's not.

Saw the new Pirates movie. Same jokes, same plot, same story. If you like the characters or franchise that much, go ahead.

I'll give it s solid 'meh'. Best part of the movie was the 9% craft double IPA and poke bowl I had whilst watching it at he brand new Flix Brewhouse up by my place. Full meals and wait staff and 40 beers on tap and their own microbrews. Pretty seeet.

HATE SPEECH. HATESPEECH!! Now make like the president and tweet a half assed apology or I'm gonna be SO unkind on Reddit.
I'm not gonna apologize for #FAKENEWS! Despicable. Dastardly. Just crazy. I'm here to make SS great again, and even though I know the mods and admins are bugging my home and office, I refuse to be cowed!!!!

Also saw Pirates yesterday. As amlove1 said, really the same schtick; if you see one you've seen them all. But like Dame said, it was still a fun movie. I've definitely spent money on a lot worse. If you like the Pirates series, you pretty much have to see this one.

I have to admit, I was skeptical about what they could bring that might be new. But I found myself so lost in Jack's predicaments that I kept hoping he'd get into more trouble just to watch how the writers might get him out of it.

Wonder Woman. DC movies of late kind of suck, but WW is a good movie. Also, Gal Gadot just made my Future Ex-Wives list.
DUUUUUUUDE.

I had to revise my list with the wife recently.

It used to be just Margot Robbie and Misty Copeland, but Margot has sort of fallen out of favor with me- so, Gal Gadot, welcome to the list of women in Hollywood/popular culture that I would find a way to disappoint, alienate, and gaslight until you hated me. Like all my other ex's (that's actually not true but self-deprecation and self hate is the only way I know how to humor).

I'm sorry but Margot Robbie has "fallen out of favor" with you?! You disappoint me.

Margo Robbie...Aussie...yay!

Just viewed War Machine on Netflix. Ben Kingsley as Hamid Karzai is one of the best comic deals around. BTW Hey Russel Crowe lose some fucking weight mate! I know you live next to Harrys' Cafe de Wheels but seriously mate, do some situps.... fat cunt...

For the uninitiated

Well it seems he's now a homosexual sooooo...
"Now"? You're behind the times...
God DAMN, ya bunch of savages. I rearrange a fake list of celebrity bangs around and I get 4 rapid fire gay jokes?

Funny side note- we saw the trailer for Atomic Blonde and I mentioned the list thing to my wife and she replied, "Charlize Theron is on MY list."
