Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

No inside joke, in fact you are the first person I've come across who has said that they did not enjoy it. What specifically didn't you like?
Where do I start, brother. The ridiculously predicable plot? Who couldn't see what was going on from almost the very beginning; car accident forward. Or perhaps the terrible writing which couldn't quite figure out what kind of movie it wanted to be - was it horror? Not even close; nothing scary about it. Was it suspenseful/thriller? Definitely not thrilling...not in the least. Was it funny? Nope, just stupid..."I'm the T - S- motherfucking A"...really?! The acting was pretty poor all around. So, really, it was everything. It was just a terrible movie.

Fast the Furious 8. Always an awesome and entertaining train wreck. Pictured below, Vin Diesel's acting coach.

F&F 8 has passed $1Billion gross worldwide.

Hollywierd knows it's a train wreck and the acting is horrific - their market continues to demand it.

Kudos to them.

Watched Wonder Woman last weekend. I thought it was a great movie and I'm going to take my daughters to see it when they get back from their grandparents'. I'm also enjoying the social justice meltdown over the actress who plays Wonder Woman.

My wife and I really enjoyed it. It's great to seerole models like Gal Gadot for our daughters, I'm sure there will be more.

Boy I hope this does not suck.

Initial reviews say it does not suck...but...the butthurt is strong in this one....

Megan Leavey Is A Good Iraq War Film. But Is It 'Stolen Valor'?

I hope Corporal Leavey got 'paid' because it seems like everyone she knew in the Corps is channeling their inner Blue Falcon.
- The dog wasn't that vicious
- She was never really in that much danger
- This would have never really happened
- And of course..."STOLEN VALOR!"
- Etc...etc...etc...

Or maybe Corporal Leavey is channeling her inner Robert O'Neill and riding this pony for every bit of pub she can get?

Either way, the folks interviewed in the T&P come across as bitter and nit-picky for just a Hollywood movie. The comments are worth reading, just for the fact that so many people claim they knew her, supervised her, etc.

Every night, he goes to bed secure in the knowledge that he is fucking Gal Gadot.

Every night, I go to bed secure in the knowledge that I'm an admin on this fucking website.

That's kind of the same thing I guess. Right?

I've always liked Jamie Foxx...especially since he was T-dawg on in Living color.......:ninja:O_o

I watched Sleepless last night, it was pretty good as well.....:D

Watched Lego Batman with the kids last night. It is REALLY funny, and pokes fun at how seriously the recent Batman movies have taken themselves. Even without kids, it's a solid stand alone movie...especially if you are at all familiar with Batman and his history.

ETA - I'd love to know what Apple paid for iPhone product placement and getting Siri in there. (she is the voice of his computer)
ETA 2 - Iron Man is from Marvel Comics and Batman is DC. It will make sense later.
ETA 3 - Love that they had the guts to give Robin a sparkling cape!
