How would you not know the plot? The movie comes out every 20-30 years since the 30's. Kris Kristofferson was my first, but the 50s and 30s ones are not bad for classics.
I live under a rock and in Nebraska....so that's my excuse at least, I might still go and see it even with knowing how it ends now, still sucks though to have the first viewing ruined.
Born in the 80's and had a strict upbringing (Mom turned all religious after the divorce).
I've never seen it. I don't like chick flicks unless they're about the Queen. I won't see the new one, either. I might see First Man. I'll probably see Venom...because...Tom Hardy.
I've seen a few chick flicks but only under extreme pressure...I saw Out of Africa, which sucked. I saw The English Patient which was like a two-hour fucking perfume commercial that made me want to puke...and I saw 40 minutes of The Horse Whisperer, that Mrs O and I both walked out of because it was stupid.

A Star is Born isn’t really a chick movie. I really liked it and hope to see Bradley Cooper keep directing. And lady Gaga was fucking amazing. That woman has across the board talent. And I’m not a anti spoiler warning dick so I’ll just say the end will break your fucking heart.

This type of post I have no problem with, it prepares me about being sad (kinda like the dock scene in Jurassic Kingdom). I'd never heard of the different movie versions or anything before, only what I've seen in trailers. I do think Lady Gaga is very talented though

Her first albums really didn't do anything for me, vocal range seemed very much like the formula of most female pop artists. But the latest Album Joanne is pretty amazing lyrically as well as her vocal range. When she sang the 2016 Super Bowl National anthem my interest piqued up:
