Ukraine - Russia Conflict

I sure hope some IT guys sitting in a suburban DC office building somewhere right now has the ability to at least answer back in China when they do it to us.

Or an offshore submarine with some special weapons that can severely disrupt their grid at a minimum.

China didn't even need cyber to fuck up the world's supply chain and kill 7-million people. They did it trying to weaponize a bat disease. Imagine if they get really serious and decide to combine cyber with a bio-weapon.

Or….. this was just a preparatory attack. There has never been lower trust in public health institutions, vaccinations, or well established medical standards. The next disease/outbreak will be worse, and people will die because they don’t trust institutions and they refuse to listen.

I think everything you said was true. But I also believe know that those same institutions / medical professionals / standards proved themselves to be untrustworthy during the last pandemic.

Strikes in the Kharkiv region opening the new front. We're still withholding Ukraine's ability to strike into Russia because we're scared of Putin. Nothings changed on that front.

That's one hell of a crater, and clearly not a mil target.

The conflict was going to spread to France eventually with how Macron has been talking and now giving Ukraine Mirage aircraft.

Ex-Russian soldier accused of planning France terror attack

France to provide Ukraine with its Mirage combat aircraft

That's part of the master plan. Some third rate nation like France sends troops who "happen" to die at the hands of the Soviets. Then "NATO Charter" or whatever and we're all at war.

On the plus side, that means my wife's flower bed project can go fuck itself.

See that’s the thing - I’m too old and broken to be any good on the eastern front - I was just hoping to age gracefully - maybe hack into a Zoom Meeting every so often to share video of me ripping one out during a change of command ceremony…

…but no - I can’t even look forward to that any more

Someone is going to be inaugurated president in the next 7+ months...hack into a network feed, go worldwide...go big or go home...don't give up your dreams.

French gov't: We should send troops to the Ukraine.
Also the French gov't: Takes ball and goes home because they had their asses kicked in recent elections. (Hmm...does that mean he surrendered the parliament?)

Macron dissolves the French parliament and calls a snap election after defeat in EU vote

PARIS (AP) — President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the lower house of France’s parliament in a surprise announcement sending voters back to the polls in the coming weeks to choose lawmakers, after his party was handed a humbling defeat by the far-right in the European elections Sunday.

According to an interview with Putin on June 5, Russia is losing about 5,000 KIA per month. This is based on his claim that the casualty ratio between Russia and Ukraine was 1:5 and Ukraine was suffering roughly 50.000 casualties each month, with 50% of those being irreversible, aka 25.000 KIA. He also claims that Ukraine currently held 1348 Russian POW versus 6465 Ukrainian POW. Putin further claims that his operation came at the cost of more than 50.000 KIA, saying the number could be higher, wich comes pretty close to some of the independent estimates and investigations like from Mediazona. Who say they documented more than 54.000 deaths so far, but estimate that Russia might have suffered over 85.000 KIA in total.

Might have misread that last part about casualties in the interview, not 100% sure. I see some Russian bloggers applying that 5k figure to the entire timeline of the conflict, concluding that Russia has lost over 130.000 killed.
Either way, I don't believe any of the exaggerated claims / rates but personally suspect that the two nations have lost a huge number of troops in this war and that there isn't such massive disparity as both would like to claim. Rather something closer to the 2020 NKR war in terms of ratio.
