Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Ignorant me: what are the secondaries off to the sides? Some...blast/ vent tunnels?
My guess--and that's all it is--would be other weapons impacts. Good bet they sent more than one drone or cruise missle at more than one target there. They just got a spectacularly good hit on film.

Are they North Korean or troops from the Eastern Military District? Most people think of Russians only as white Europeans, but they have a very diverse population with tons of Asian ethnic groups. This has not really been a national effort as they started and then stopped mobilization of the Eastern Districts and went towards conscription.

They look more like Yakuts or Eastern Russian Mongolians.

Didn't we just send another 400 milly to the Ukraine? God damn I'm glad our economy and national debt are in such great shape.
We're still sending millions to the Taliban. And to Lebanon. And to Hamas I mean Gaza no I really mean Hamas, and to the PA. On top of whatever we gave back to Iran. So much money to so many people who wish so much ill will.

I’m torn on Trumps opinion towards Ukraine. On the one hand, I believe that Ukraine has been a hotbed for corruption. On the other hand, fuck Russia.

How do we both keep killing Russians and North Koreans without the loss of a single US service members life?

Ukraine can be an excellent return on investment for projecting for/training for LSCO, IF our military leaders are willing to see it as such.

I remember our BN CO and CSM coming out to visit our element and just chatted with us for a few hours about how the mission was going. He was particularly pissed because he had a meeting with some higher level leadership and offered to brief them on what our unit+our UKR partners had been developing for counter UAS. From what he said, they were uninterested.

IIRC, he had said this conversation occurred tight around the Tower 22 attack; I forget he said it was prior or post, but his meeting with us was a few weeks after.

The Eurowussies are now all cringing talking about how we're unreliable and stuff and how they now all of a sudden need to invest in their own defense. I mean, maybe they could have not cut their Armies in half over the last 20 years or something...

I've been mulling over what we would actually lose if we just dissolved NATO.

Random thoughts.
Ukr is still corrupt.
NATO, at our insistence, throttled the Ukr military, did we doom the Ukr by doing so?
Trump's ceasefire plan gets criticized by many, but look two or three steps out.
Bleeding Russia is great, but Putin has more bodies to lose than Zelinsky does. The Ukr hasn't gone to a full mobilization, (which I find to be mind boggling).
Eventually Ukr loses result in defeat, or genocide. Either way, Putin wins.
A ceasefire let's the Ukraine rebuild, and get to live to fight another day.

When you save somebody's ass once, they are grateful. If you save their ass twice, they get used to it. If you linger around after the second time, maintaining your protection, they start to resent their dependence on you...because you remind them of their weaknesses.

The Euros need to man the fuck up.

Let's not forget that European countries are quasi-Socialist. Look at the tax numbers below and how they can't maintain their own militaries. About a decade-ish ago Germany had half of its navy unable to sortie. Broken. Busted. Can't go anywhere. Their Air Force wasn't much better. Europe is taxing the hell out of its people and spending little on defense. I wonder what their governments are doing with the money...
