As long as the checks he writes still clears they'll keep following him...which is much unlike being a Soldier in the Russian Army...money not in the account for months.

I'm not sure you spend as much time in prison as he did and rise to this level of influence without having a real aim.
 
So Mike McFaul on the twitter. Another idiot on twitter that was a former Democrat Establishment type that I have yet to block thinks Putin capitulated. I know he was the ambassador to Russia and all but stfu.

There was also some other fogo who I forget who was trying to draw analysis on this thing that I did block. I'm fairly tired of liberal generals showing their ass on that hellsite. New rule...anyone above the rank of Colonel is not allowed social media.
 
Now we need to see how the next steps play out.

Prigozhin's actions were supposedly prememptive in response to MoD'S requirement for Wagner to sign with them by 7/1 or face a firing squad. So, Prigozhin creates this story of an attack on Wagner to justify his march.

Wagner marches to the doorstep of Moscow in less than a day, then quits.

MoD says any Wagner that did not participate in this march can receive amnesty is if they sign a contract. The rest are left hanging?

In the end, this has same outcome as what MoD originally demanded and Wagner ceases to exist in its current form. So, what was negotiated? Was this a face saving move to withdraw some Wagner troops? A way to expose allegiances? Prigozhin goes to Belarus, where I guess he can now drink some Bud Light to celebrate his failure, but also where Putin supposedly just transferred some nuks? How does that work?

A lot of this still doesn't make much sense. I feel cheated. One of the comments I read summed it up pretty well, it's like the writers from the last couple seasons of Game of Thrones wrote this ending.

I agree. It doesn’t make sense. Much of it was obviously bluff to shake up the machine. Prigozhin is always good for some dramatics. It remains to be seen if he overplayed his hand. It made Putin look vulnerable to the rest of the world, like he’d lost his grip on things…big loss of face which may have lots of people flying out windows.
