Ukraine - Russia Conflict

The only way that Russia really ends up on the "losing" end of this deal is if we just do a war - destroy all of the Vodka, Potatoes, and Borscht in Russia - and then lock Putin up in a GP Medium surrounded by concertina wire "somewhere" in Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

Otherwise, nobody is going to be happy and regardless of the outcome it will be "bad" and it will inarguably be because Donald Trump caused Russia.
 
I didn't recognize what this piece was, initially, because it was from The Hill. Considering that some of their BANGERS include- Trump is inciting assassination attempts, Congress should use the 14th against President Trump, and was a primary surrogate for the democrats during his second impeachment attempt.

But then I realized- I didn't recognize it because it resembled actual journalism.

Things are going relatively well for Russia on the front right now. He’s retaken Kursk and will likely take Chasiv Yar, Torestsk, and Pokrovsk soon. This is Hans Gruber listing impossible demands to keep everything busy while he works towards his actual end goal to seize the rest of Luhansk and Donetsk. Maybe zaporizhia.

Putin doesn't lie, he tells you exactly what he's doing. What is he doing? Attempting to re-create the hegemony of his youth. Everything is calculated. The question I have, who's better at knocking out loose ends. Putin or the Clintons?

This situation reminds me a bit of Germany in '44. "If we just rid ourselves of that Austrian painter the Allies will negotiate with us."

Yeah, nah. You might be able to keep your medals and swords and accoutrements, you might receive some small concessions, but otherwise you have a minor role in the end state. If you think Europe will send you a bounty of murder death kill stuff to keep the war going, that's a fantasy.

I hate that Putin will get his way here, no matter the reason(s) behind the war. Putin is garbage, but he's in the driver's seat. There will be no White Peace to end the conflict. We don't have to like it, but this ending is as old as war itself.
