That gives a lot of incentive to not surrender, and how many Ukrainians just adopted a take no prisoners approach.
Winners are rarely tried for war crimes. Victory absolves an army of a multitude of sins.
The Ukrainians also have nothing left to lose, their backs being against the wall and everything.
Whether Zelensky ordered it or not, I have a feeling he's a dead man now.

If they haven't been able to get Zelensky so far, this isn't really going to change things. The misinformation campaign is so strong and complex on both sides that it's difficult to know what actually happened, but I doubt it was directly Ukrainian, nor was it likely a real threat to the Kremlin.
What horseshit. It looks like somebody fired off a fairly small pyrotechnic in the air above the dome. Probably the two figures who are seen on the dome. Because why would anybody be on the dome at night?

He’s been leaning far out of his own hospital window for a while now. Not the kind of publicity you want from your chief hired gun. It again points to the continual snafu of Russian logistics.

Just a thought - but pulling Wagner from the battlefield to refit and "lick their wounds" - gives Russia a seamless opportunity to escalate under the blanket of a very public falling out.
Gotta send more Russian troops to the front to cover the void left by those dirt nasty contractors...
...maybe an extra division should cover it
...just in time for the spring/summer offensives to start
US contractors have public shouting matches with U.S. bean counters ALL the time. At best, they went to court to change the name of their company so they could rebid the contract for more money.
Public displays of outrage between governments and government contractors can be concerning - but they are very often just extensions of the kabuki theater that goes on inside the government chambers.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Maybe that Yahtzee Pirogi guy will fall out of a window, maybe some of his Wagner Grouop mercenaries will show up in Kyiv in a few weeks from now after being caught conducting nefarious activities. Blood Honor Motherland Courage - and all that jazz.
